VisitEngland’s Chairman, Penelope, Viscountess Cobham, provides strategic leadership in the organisation’s work to boost tourism to and within England, leading the delivery of a new era of greater coherence and partnership for visitor economy.

The Chairman works with private and public sector partners throughout the regions of England to support VisitEngland in strengthening the marketing of England as a tourist destination overseas. Read more in The Board.

Chief Executive

The Chief Executive is responsible for the day-to-day running of VisitEngland, developing and leading strategies for the marketing of England as a visitor destination and working in close partnership with all stakeholders in improving the quality of England’s tourism offer. Alongside the Chairman, the Chief Executive works to ensure that England tourism is high on the political and economic agenda.

Together, their leadership will help us maximise the UK-wide tourism benefits of the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games as well as other major events like the Ryder Cup in 2010, the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
