Launched in 2010 with the stunning Dream public art sculpture in St Helens, the Place of Interest Quality Assurance Scheme (PIQAS) is aimed at locations not eligible for VAQAS due to size or infrastructure. 

Venues that are primarily for sporting activities, theatrical or cinema performances and solely retail outlets fall outside the criteria for this scheme.
