The London 2012 Olympic Games will be held in London from 27th July to 12th August 2012, followed by the London 2012 Paralympic Games from 29th August to 9th September.

This will be the third time London has hosted the games, previously they have been held in 1908 and 1948. 205 nations are expected to take part in 300 events across 26 sports from aquatics to wrestling in the London 2012 Olympic Games. 147 nations will compete in 20 sports including Football and Wheelchair Tennis during the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

The eyes of the world will be on us, with coverage being broadcast online, TV, Radio and printed publications across the globe. The majority of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held in Stratford, East London.  However, other events will be held in other venues across London and England.
