On Friday 10th August VisitEngland and lastminute.com launched an exciting new 50:50 match funded marketing campaign promoting England’s Cultural and Heritage destinations. The campaign delivers a post Olympics message that now is the time to get away and explore England with hotel offers for various destinations.
A series of 30” radio scripts are airing across the North West and London for four weeks encouraging consumers to book amazing short break experiences in one of England’s fantastic destinations this summer. Each of the scripts builds on the perceptions that there is a lot to see and do in England accompanied by a price point from lastminute.com.
The radio adverts will reach 2.5million ABC1 adults 25-44, and be heard on average 10 times.
From 10th-13th August VisitEngland will have homepage takeover on lastminute.com to inspire consumers to getaway and enjoy a last minute short break in England.
Other activity during the campaign includes: radio promotions on Key 103FM and Capital FM, e-shots, online advertising, social media and influential blog sites; supported by national and local PR activity all aimed at encouraging consumers to visit www.lastminute.com/visitengland.
