Every year VisitEngland holds an annual conference to raise issues and discuss improvements to the provision of visitor information.
For those that attend the conference is a chance to share experiences, best practises and participate in workshops sessions addressing issues relevant to visitor information in particular. A panel debate is usually arranged to give those that attend the opportunity to express views and put forward questions to VisitEngland and other tourism professionals.
In collaboration with Destination Bristol, the annual National Visitors Information Conference for 2010 was hosted in the maritime city of Bristol. Networking opportunities were arranged at the drinks reception hosted by Bristol Harbourside Tourist Information Centre and at the evening dinner on board the ss Great Britain.
